Of course girl codes are a thing and secrets shared among women dates back centuries but there comes a time where one woman must honor the essence of another. Overtime, I’ve come to discover that there are two types of Q&A sessions that exist between women. The first, is a session of genuine interest. You share similar tastes and the answer to the probing question usually results in action (a new purchase or something) but the other session type is rooted in pure nosiness and it’s tacky af. Women work hard to develop their own sense of style, creativity and entire being and putting each other in awkward positions that make us exploit ourselves is eh, not cool. Here’s a few things to remain poised and to not ask your gal pals; if you insist on knowing, Google is your friend.
1. What perfume are you wearing?
Good fragrance should be mysterious and well selected. Do you know how long it takes to find a signature fragrance?! Like a lifetime! I certainly don’t want to do all the searching and sniffing just to give away my secrets.
2. How much did that cost?
Unless you and your girlfriend are in the market for the same thing and are comparing notes, avoid asking this question because well, if you aren’t running out to buy after hearing the price tag, then wtf are you asking for?! To be nosey, of course.
3. Oh! Your shoes are so cute, where’d you get them?

4. If they think the guy you’re dating is attractive.
My taste in men is drastically different than my girlfriend’s so if they asked my opinion, they’d undoubtedly hear the “eh, he’s cute” which they know probably means he isn’t…TO ME. If you’re fucking the man then you need to find him sexy.
What do you think?
